What is refractive lens exchange?

Refractive lens exchange is a procedure where we replace the natural lens in the eye, which is clear, but not functioning normally nor providing the right focus or it’s not enabling the ability for somebody to read normally anymore without glasses. We take that clear but optically challenged or abnormal lens and swap it with an artificial implant using the same techniques that we use for cataract surgery.
Usually, it’s an opportunity to put a special type of implant in the eye that can restore not just distance vision, but a whole range of vision including intermediate and close vision.
