Laser eye surgery, or laser vision correction, involves using lasers to reshape the front surface (cornea) of your eyes so that you can focus better. It can correct short-sightedness, long-sightedness, and astigmatism. When you wear glasses or contact lenses, they bend the light and correct the imperfect shape of the eye. With laser eye surgery, we are effectively sculpting that correction onto the surface of the cornea. By sculpting the prescription onto the eye, we neutralise or correct the imperfections so that you no longer have to wear glasses or contact lenses.
