What is refractive cataract surgery?
Dr Matthew Russell explains what refractive cataract surgery is
Refractive cataract surgery is a normal cataract operation. However, in addition to clearing the vision by removing the cataract, we take the opportunity to correct your focusing problems.
For example, if you are shortsighted or long-sighted or have astigmatism, we’d select a lens to match your refractive problem to correct that at the same time as removing your cataracts.
In addition, we’re able to use special lenses, premium lenses, or multifocal lenses to extend the range of focus in your eye to restore a normal range of focus and give back not only good distance vision but restore mid-range and close vision as well.
If you would like to learn more about refractive cataract surgery and how it can fix your cataracts AND free you from glasses, please book online for a free vision assessment.
