What Do We Do?

Dr. Matthew Russell shares what VSON Laser Vision Specialists do to help people improve their vision

So what we do at VSON is we use a whole variety of different surgical techniques to transform people who have eyes that are optically challenged, that optically don’t work properly, where they’re dependent on glasses and contact lenses and we use those techniques to normalize the vision.

To normalize the optics of the eye and the key types of treatments that we do are laser vision correction. And laser vision correction includes LASIK surgery, which forms the vast majority of our treatments, PRK or surface ablation.

The best way to find out if eye treatment is right for you is to have an in-person assessment. You’ll get a clear answer from our experts on your suitability and vision correction options

We also do contact lens implantation, an Intraocular Collamer Lens, which can be implanted inside the eye to achieve exactly the same and in some cases better outcomes than laser vision correction for the appropriate patients. We also do refractive lens surgery, which is to change the natural lens of the eye for an artificial lens to improve and restore vision, particularly correcting distance vision and also correcting a loss of near vision which occurs in people over the age of 45.

If you would like to learn more about laser vision correction and understand which treatment could free you from glasses or contact lenses, please complete our online suitability quiz. Then please call one of our laser vision professionals or book an appointment online.
